Top Drugstore Foundation/Concealer/Mascara Review

Hi guys!

Today I wanted to review 3 of my most current favorite drugstore beauty finds.

RIMMEL'S CLEAN FINISH FOUNDATION

I discovered this foundation a couple of weeks ago at the drugstore, just in passing. For the most part, I love Rimmel products and when I saw that this foundation was only $3.99 I said I had to give it a shot.

This foundation is meant to make your pores disappear, it has vitamins A and E, it is fragrance free and is super light weight. The first thing I noticed with this foundation was that it wasn't very liquidy. When you try to shake it, it just kind of stays in the bottle, not moving. When you open it up, the lid has an attachment, like a  flat applicator with which you can pick up the foundation and apply it to your face.
That is what I did. Once I dotted it all over my face, I blended it with a flat top brush.

The consistency of this foundation is creamy but it dries on your face pretty quickly so you have to blend it in fairly quickly as well.

It has a matte finish and it really does make your pores appear smaller. It stays on pretty much all day and does not make you look oily at the end of the night (i have combination skin and usually my face gets pretty oily over the course of the day).

Overall I would give this foundation a 7/10 rate. The packaging could have been better!

My shade is 230 Warm Ivory

MAYBELLINE SUPERSTAY BETTER SKIN CONCEALER

I have been loving this concealer but it definitely cannot replace my Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer (that is still my number 1). This particualr concealer is meant to be used both on your dark circles as well as your spots. I think it works great at hiding any spots you might have but not the best at hiding dark circles. Don't get me wrong, it still gets the job done but not as good as the Age Rewind one. I still think this is an amazing concealer.

The consistency is very creamy and easy to blend and it pretty much stays on for most of the day. I use a powder on top of it. I would definitely recommend it.

I would give this concealer a 8/10 only because I have the worst dark circles and this almost covers them completely.

My shade is 10 Ivory

L'OREAL VOLUMINOUS MISS MANGA ROCK MASCARA

This mascara is honestly one of the best mascaras I have ever tried. I have tried the original one as well which is amazing but the"Rock" version is definitely a step up. It gives a lot of volume and also lengthens your eyelashes.

The brush has little combs all around which pretty much combs through your eyelashes as you brush it through. It is AMAZING and my favorite find from all 3 products.

I would rate this mascara a 10/10 and recommend it to everyone!

I got the blackest black one and it looks super dramatic on.

Left has two coats of mascara and right has no mascara

Below, I have attached a video of me applying all of these product to my face. Hope you guys check it out and I hope you enjoyed this post!

I hope that you guys enjoy this video and be kind to me! haha I Would love to hear some feedback from you guys, whether you are a new YouTuber like me or you have been doing it for awhile.

Adelaide Kane Casual Style

Hi guys!

In an earlier blog, I talked to you guys about how I've been loving the show Reign and also the actress who plays Queen Mary, Adelaide Kane.

I actually really like her style outside of the show as well, and for today's post I wanted to pick a few outfits and show you guys how to get her casual look!

Outfit 1

This outfit is super casual. You can just wear a plain jersey knit racerback or tank top with a pair of gray jeans and a pair of platform heels. I really like the shoes with this really plain outfit! This would be  a great outfit for hanging out with friends out in the town or going shopping

 Outfit 2

This second outfit is similar to the first one but a little bit more put together so I would wear this even on a date, movie night, night out with friends or whatever :) The statement necklace adds a nice detail and also the lacey shoes are more of a feminine touch. The cross body bag makes the outfit a little more casual than adding a clutch. I think it is a simple but very pretty look.

Forever21
She would probably also wear something like this with it

Hope you guys enjoyed these two looks. I will do another post with her more dressy looks as well so keep a lookout for that soon if you are interested!

Sailor Moon!

Hi guys!

Ever since I was little I have been obsessed with the anime Sailor Moon. When I was younger, my dad used to make me and my friends little toy Sailor Moon transformation sticks. We used to run around acting like the sailor scouts. Fun times! haha They are actually showing the old Sailor Moon anime on Hulu at the moment and also the re-make Sailor Moon Crystal, which is pretty cool.
It brings back so many good memories from my childhood :) I love watching it in Japanese because that is how I grew up watching it and when I first heard the English version I was terrified of their voices haha It was pretty terrible! I encourage you to watch the Japanese version (if you do ever want to watch it), with english subtitles.

I have always wanted to be Sailor Moon or Sailor Venus and while looking online I found so many pictures of people who dress up like anime characters, Sailor Moon included; they are called cosplayers. I am hoping that one day I can also dress up like one of them for Comic Con :))

Here are a few of my favorites and let me know in the comments below if you are a Sailor Moon fan!

Reign/Queen Mary

Hi guys!

I have been obsessed with the show Reign ever since it came out a couple of years ago. If you have never watched it, then you need to! It's based on real life history but definitely doesn't follow it step by step. It follows a young Mary, queen of Scots and everything that happens around her. There are so many cool characters and the story is definitely interesting.

Season 2 recently came to an end and I am so sad :( if doesn't come back until the fall, but I am definitely excited!

One thing that I absolutely love about Reign is the fashion! Mary is definitely my favorite but everyone always looks amazing on that show. The clothing, jewelry and makeup is always on point.

Today, I just wanted to share with you all a couple of looks from queen Mary! I will probably go more in depth later on with a few of my favorite looks but until then, enjoy these!

Let me know in the comments below if you also love this show and who your favorite is!

Graduation Outfit

Hi guys,

I wanted to do a What I Wore Wednesday post since it is Wednesday but I actually haven't taken any pictures for my blog. I have been having problems with my old laptop, it was super slow, would take me hours to just type and post a new blog post. I finally got a new laptop so you will be seeing many new posts from me in the future.

So since my laptop was so slow, I haven't been taking any pictures or done anything for my blog. Yesterday I went to a graduation but I only took one picture of my outfit (which does not include shoes) for instagram. I will share that with you today. Sorry for the poor quality and here's to better OOTD's in the future!!

Excuse the duckface haha So I wore  a hi-lo dress from Charming Charlie which had a cute black and white bow in the back with a black waist belt and some jewelry. For shoes, I just wore a pair of sandals. Excuse the mess and the unprofessional photo haha

Not Your Mother's Dry Shampoo Review

Hi guys!!

Today I wanted to share with you all one of my favorite products for second day hair: dry shampoo! I know that's not a revelation and a lot of people use dry shampoo but I really like the one I have been using lately. I have tried different ones and this one has been by far my favorite one.

It is called NOT YOUR MOTHER'S CLEAN FREAK REFRESHING DRY SHAMPOO. It is part of the "Not Your Mother's" Collection but this is the only product I have tried from the brand.

I wash my hair every other day and use this on my hair the second day. My hair gets greasy at the roots but is quite dry towards the ends. All you need to do is spray the product in your roots, wherever you need it, even all throughout the hair, brush it out and watch it absorb all the oils ! You don't have to leave it in your hair for a couple of minutes before brushing, which makes it that much faster! It doesn't leave a lot of white residue, in fact, if you shake it enough, you will barely notice the powder.

The price is great and it beats other products I have tried like Dove, TreSemme, Suave. I haven't tried any high end brands so I can't compare to that, but this is a pretty good product for the money.

In the pictures above you will see my hair go from greasy (pic 2), after spraying it in (pic 3), and after styling it (pic 4.)

Picture 1 is just the product itself. The scent is not super strong and actually quite pleasant. I just think it smells like clean. This dry shampoo adds a lot of volume to your hair and will make it look like you just washed it. My only tip is o not spray too much because it can actually go in the other direction and become greasier.

If you got this far, thank you! You are awesome! Let me know in the comments below if you have ever tried this product and if not, what is your go to dry shampoo?

Adela

Tanya Burr Book and Home Stuff

Hi guys!

I didn't really have anything planned for Fun Friday so I decided to put together a few pictures of things I have been loving this past week. These are all new things I have purchased this week and wanted to share with you all.

On Monday me and my bf went and did a little shopping. We needed groceries but we also stopped at Marshall's and Target!

From Marshall's we picked up the Bonjour pillow and two others that are not pictured below (they are plain little yellow pillows). I wanted to add a pop of color to our boring brown couch (which will be changed out soon because we are planning on buying a grey couch as soon as we move out of our current apartment yay!). I always thought gray and yellow looked so cute together. This pillow is super adorable and I love it!

The other thing picked up from Marshall's was the light blue basket. I think it's super adorable and it is great for storing my hair straightener/curler instead of leaving them on the floor all the time haha

From Target we picked up the Nature's Wick Candle. It has a cracking wick which makes a cracking sound when it burns :) It is 3 scents in one and so far it smells really good! It's very fresh!

Also from Target we got the little gold candle holder to sort of go along with the yellow pillows :)

This week I have been obsessed with Tanya Burr's book! I pre ordered it before it came out but they ran out and I had to wait super long to get it again. My bf finally got it for me and it finally came in the mail last Saturday! I was so excited! It is such a cute book and Tanya is such an inspiration! The pictures are lovely and I love her recipes! I will definitely be trying those cookies as they look so delicious! I just love looking at the book on my bedside table or just on my bed, it makes me happy :) haha

So these are just a few thing I purchased this week that have made me happy. I especially love shopping for homey things!

What have you bought this week that has made you feel happy? Let me know in the comments below and also let me know if you purchased Tanya Burr's book and what you think of it?
